Local Firm To Award $20K of free technology products and/or services
Mavenspire, an Annapolis-based IT consulting firm, announced today the launch of its Extreme Technology Makeover to provide non-profits struggling in the current economic environment an opportunity to advance their cause with $20k in free technology.
Michael Tanenhaus, Mavenspire CEO said, “While the pandemic has provided economic challenges for most organizations, non-profits have suffered worst of all at a time when they are being called on to do more than ever. We saw this as an a great opportunity to give back to one of the mid-Atlantic’s heroic organizations by providing them with technology resources that serve as the backbone to staying open. Mavenspire wants to help a Mid-Atlantic non-profit use this challenging period to take their organization to the next level.”
On a recent “Business of Giving” podcast, John MacIntosh, Managing Director of Seachange Capital Partners, said that before the pandemic, almost 50% of non-profits had no margin for error, with less than 2 months of financial reserves. During the pandemic, MacIntosh encouraged non-profits to conserve cash and apply quickly for all pots of available money. Technology can allow a non-profit to help more people by increasing efficiency, expanding its sphere of influence or by better understanding and targeting its efforts.
