ETC Baltimore-Based Adashi Systems’ Fire And Rescue Platform Critically Saving Lives From Australian Bushfires

1/10/20

A technology startup based at the Emerging Technology Centers (ETC), Adashi Systems, proudly announced that its public safety software platform developed for first responders is being utilized to save lives from the Australian bush fires. Adashi FirstResponse MDT is a revolutionary emergency response software product that gets first responders to the scene of an incident efficiently and safely with all the data they need for a fast, coordinated, and intelligent response.

Adashi Systems has been located within the ETC community since 2012 and is a member of IncubateBaltimore, one of the incubator’s four programs. ETC is a venture of the Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC), focused on growing early-stage technology companies.

“Adashi Systems is showcasing to the world the wonderful, cutting-edge technology being developed in the City of Baltimore.” said Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young. “The ETC, which is the City’s incubator, has been vital in helping startups to grow and thrive in Baltimore for nearly two decades. We’re proud of the vibrant tech scene in Baltimore and proud to have a Baltimore company whose products are helping to save lives in the devastating fires in Australia.”

The New South Wales First Response Team--one of the largest and most professional response teams in the world--first started working with Adashi Systems in 2011. Since then, all fire and rescue trucks in New South Wales have been equipped with the Adashi software. With this comprehensive integration, all fire and rescue workers can rely on consistent, accurate, real-time data to guide their rescue efforts and keep them safer while in the field.

“It’s heartening to know that we’re making a real difference in the lives of those who are out there fighting this environmental crisis on a daily basis,” says Adashi Systems’ CEO, Alex Menkes. “Seeing a video of New South Wales Fire and Rescue workers in an intense escape from the brush fires using a navigation map on a computer tablet made possible with our technology was a very proud moment for our company and I commend the importantant and dangerous work these fire and rescue workers are doing.”

Adashi Systems’ software solutions include Adashi RollCall, Adashi C&C, Adashi Alert, and Adashi FirstResponse MDT, which can be seen in use by the New South Wales First Response Team’s video posted to Linkedin by New South Wales Fire Commissioner Paul Baxter on December 31, 2019.

“I couldn’t be prouder of the work that Adashi Systems, Alex and his team are doing every day to save lives, but this truly attests to the hard work they do and how important their work is and how important Baltimore is to that work,” said ETC President Deb Tillett.

BDC President & CEO Colin Tarbert commented, “Companies like Adashi Systems are a testament to how the City of Baltimore works hard to support growing entrepreneurs and innovators so that they can impact the communities around them and throughout the world.”
