CloudBolt Software Named Winner at 2019 Oregon Technology Awards

5/12/19

CloudBolt Software, the industry's leading hybrid cloud management platform for self-service IT, today announced it was selected winner of the "Influential Technology Company Not Headquartered in Oregon" award at the 2019 Oregon Technology Awards held on April 18, 2019. The Technology Association of Oregon presents the award to the company that has a presence in Oregon via division and/or wholly owned subsidiary, and has had a significant impact on Oregon's technology industry in the previous year, including financial, employment, and community factors.

"It's a tremendous honor for us at CloudBolt to win the 'Influential Technology Company Not Headquartered in Oregon' award and to be part of Portland's thriving technology community," said Bernard Sanders, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of CloudBolt. "Portland is the home base of our stellar software engineering team and a significant contributor to CloudBolt's success with enterprise customers, and to the company's product leadership and business growth."

CloudBolt's corporate headquarters is located in North Bethesda, MD. The company opened its engineering headquarters in SE Portland in 2013 to tap into the region's rich technology talent pool and dynamic environment for cloud computing innovation. It recently moved its offices to the historic and redeveloped Washington High School Building in Portland's booming Central Eastside.

Apart from CTO Bernard Sanders, CloudBolt senior leaders in the Portland office include Vice President of Engineering Tripp Millican and Engineering Manager Dave Adamec. CloudBolt's software engineering team doubled in size in 2018 from 2017. It is expected to again double in size in 2019 to meet growing enterprise demand for the CloudBolt platform, which enables IT to rapidly build, deploy, and manage private and public cloud resources and containerized environments.

CloudBolt achieved record growth in 2018 over 2017, with a 150 percent increase in revenue and 45 percent growth in the number of enterprise customers worldwide. Its customers represent a wide range of sectors, from federal government and financial services to retail and technology services, and include Capgemini, Electronic Arts, The Home Depot, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Xerox.
