Gable’s Nathan Brown Attains Certified Technology Specialist Credential

2/1/17

Nathan Brown of Gable, a creator, integrator, fabricator and provider of award-winning design, architectural elements and signs, digital displays and lighting solutions, has earned his Certified Technology Specialist™ (CTS®) certification from InfoComm International. The certification demonstrates Brown’s extensive knowledge of technology used in audio, video and display systems, as well as a competence, dedication and commitment to the audiovisual profession.

In the AV industry, InfoComm International’s CTS is the only American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-accredited certification, and is recognized worldwide as the leading AV professional credential. By achieving this credential, Brown has displayed the self-confidence, professionalism and integrity needed to succeed in the field. As a CTS, Brown performs general technology solution tasks by creating, operating and servicing AV solutions, and conducting AV management activities that provide for the best audiovisual resolutions of the client’s needs, both on time and within budget. With agreement to a code of ethics pledging truth, accuracy and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the profession, CTS holders are recognized as trusted providers of services to customers of AV technology.

“As we enter a new era of advanced digital technology and visual communications, Gable’s professionals, craftsmen and technicians at Gable have doubled down on their commitment to excellence”, said Paul Gable, CEO of Gable. “We’re extremely proud of Nathan Brown, who joins a team of Gable CTS holders who are able to assure our customers the highest level of performance in the audiovisual industry.”

InfoComm International® has offered its certification program for more than 30 years and individuals, companies and customers have always recognized the CTS® certification for its credibility and integrity. InfoComm’s CTS certification program assesses individuals against peer-developed standards and competencies and provides a credential that is time limited for three years. For those certified, continued competency is enhanced through ongoing renewal requirements and adherence to the CTS Code of Ethics and Conduct.

The CTS certification is accredited through the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), under ISO/IEC I7024 certification of personnel, which is administered in the U.S. by the ANSI. The ISO/IEC 17024 standard is a program that assures the public and the CTS certification holders that InfoComm is applying best practices to the administration of the CTS program.

Because the CTS credential is respected worldwide and is the only AV certification with ISO/IEC 17024 accreditation, many architects, general contractors and others who engage AV professionals require their AV Designers and/or Systems Integrators to employ AV professionals who hold the CTS credential. Others give preference to AV companies that employ CTS holders.

Brown joins a Gable audiovisual team that holds the credentials to ensure the intelligent integration of audiovisual products and services. Along with two additional CTS-certified technicians, Gable’s audiovisual team includes professionals with credentials such as Certified Technology Specialist ? Design (CTS-D), XTP Systems Technician Certification (XTP-T), DigitalMedia™ Certified Engineer (DMC-E4K), Digital Signage Certified Expert (DSCE) and CompTIA NET +.
