1) What is unique about Red & Rugged?

Our clients want hand-crafted, unique gifts for their customers, ones not found on retailers' shelves. They don't have the time or interest in finding and coordinating all the pieces; that’s what we do. We work with our community of global artisans to select one-of-a-kind elements for our hand-crafted gift boxes. Our gifts represent beautiful craftsmanship for those who want to leave a lasting impression.

2) What made you choose this type of business?

We’ve traveled to shows and met different artists for years. Over time, we realized that we had developed a network of people representing many different styles and designs. Content, creativity, and community-building have been a part of my personal and professional life for decades, and my husband is a craftsman himself. It all came together at the right time in our lives.

3) If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Focus and be creative from the start. There’s a lot of noise in the marketplace, and your ability to be consistent and use creativity to connect with customers is vital.
