Quincy Coleman
Attorney Quincy Coleman was certified by the Maryland State Board of Elections as a Nominee for Judge of the Circuit Court for Howard County in Judicial Circuit 5. Mr. Coleman won the Democratic Primary Election held on June 2, 2020, securing more votes than 3 other candidates in the judicial race. As the Democratic nominee, Quincy Coleman’s name will appear on the November 3, 2020 General Election ballot.
With over 40 years of public and private service, Attorney Coleman was asked his reason for seeking the judgeship in Howard County and he stated “I have many years of circuit court trial experience, regularly engaging in serious, complex, litigation. I have devoted my entire professional career to helping others through legal advocacy and reducing the number of citizens returning to prison. I believe that this is the next step for me to continue making a difference.” In addition to his love and knowledge of the law, Mr. Coleman expressed that he wants to be in the position to apply the law fairly to all residents of Howard County. Mr. Coleman shared, “I’m grateful to the residents of Howard County who supported me in the Primary Election. My candidacy is about making the judicial system work for all residents of Howard County. I look forward to earning their votes on November 3rd.”
In the General Election set for November 3, 2020, Attorney Quincy Coleman will face off against the Republican Primary Nominee. On July 8, 2020, Governor Hogan announced that the November General Election will be held “in-person”, with the option for voters to apply for a mail-in ballot.
