The Baltimore Station Appoints New Board Leadership and Elects Four New Members to Board

The Baltimore Station, an organization that supports individuals, primarily veterans, dealing with homelessness and substance use disorder by providing residential and community-based therapy programs, announced today that Jennifer Rothenberger, director of Human Resources and Security at Fortego, LLC is the new president of its board of directors and Adam Skolnik, executive director of the Maryland Multi-Housing Association is the board’s new vice president. Joey Vanoni (Pizza di Joey) will continue to serve as secretary and Steve Leckrone’s (Calvert Accounting & Advisory Services) remains treasurer. The board has also elected four new members, bringing the board to 20 members.

“The board of directors plays a critical role supporting the organization as we fulfill our mission of supporting individuals as they transition from homelessness and substance use disorder to a life of self-sufficiency,” said John Friedel, executive director of The Baltimore Station. “We are confident that our new leadership and members’ experience and expertise will help us navigate these unchartered times and drive us towards continued growth and opportunities for the men that we serve.”

New Board Members

James “Jamie” C. Alban, IV
President, Alban Tractor Co. Inc.

A retired officer of the U.S. Marine Corps, Gulf War veteran and honor graduate from the U.S. Army Ranger School, James “Jamie” Alban is president of Alban Tractor Co. Inc, which represents Caterpillar products in the mid-Atlantic region by providing rental coverage, parts availability and service capability. Alban is an active member of the local community and has served on various non-profit boards including Maryland Highway Contractors Association, Police Athletic League, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Boys Latin School Board Trustee and the Baltimore Community Foundation.

Danielle Gofstein
Owner, DC Custom Designs

Danielle Gofstein is an active volunteer who has dedicated her time and experience to helping organizations raise critical funds, in addition to overseeing a design company that creates and sells customized invitations and party decor. A member of The Baltimore Station’s Homerun for Recovery Planning Committee, Gofstein worked with the committee to conceptualize innovative features and secure silent and live auction donations. Gofstein also served on the boards for Bet Yeladim Preschool and Kenya Connect. In addition to running her business and volunteering, Gofstein is also a real estate and family photographer.

Alan Grace
First Vice President, CBRE

With more than 25 years of real estate experience, Alan Grace represents tenants or owner-occupants in Baltimore and throughout the U.S. by helping them navigate renewal vs. relocation decisions and lease or sale needs that arise due to the needs of the businesses’ performance or existing lease provisions. Additionally, for customers with several locations, he works with executives to ensure transactions are aligned with real estate portfolio strategies and corporate objectives. Grace is a longtime volunteer at The Baltimore Station.

Stuart M. Sutley
Sales & Business Development, Johns Hopkins HealthCare Solutions

Stuart Sutley started his career with a four-year tour in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry officer culminating in a strategic battalion position during Operation Desert Storm. Sutley’s experience led him to seeing the opportunity to assist academic medical centers in developing new revenue streams in the wellness and health management field led Sutley to lead the sales and business development efforts for Johns Hopkins HealthCare Solutions whose mission is to bring faculty-inspired discoveries to the large employer market. Sutley speaks nationally at various large employer conferences in the areas of chronic condition management and on-site employer clinics. Sutley is returning to The Baltimore Station’s board where he originally served as a member from 2011-2015.
