Given the Ravens’ lack of inside linebackers, LSU’s Patrick Queen could become the first-ever Tiger drafted by the Ravens later this month.
Although the Ravens have drafted their fair share of SEC players, particularly from Alabama, the organization has never drafted a player from out of the Baton Rouge, La., school in 24 years. Queen, a native of Ventress, La., does believe it is a “wild” fact, but he says the idea of playing in a defense coordinated by Don “Wink” Martindale is enticing.
“It’s just a crazy thought because we try the same thing with our team [at LSU] as far as sending blitzes from different directions and try to get the offense off balance and stuff,” Queen said on Glenn Clark Radio April 3. “There’s no limit to my game. So, I hope if I do end up there I’ll be able to move around and show different looks and be able to be that guy for them.”
