Elizabeth Ryan and J’aime Drayton
Visit Baltimore, the official destination sales and marketing organization for Baltimore, today announced the addition of two new directors to its leadership staff.
Elizabeth Ryan joins the nonprofit to serve as the organization’s first-ever editorial director. In this new role, Ryan will lead integrated content creation and distribution efforts while also serving as the managing editor of Visit Baltimore’s published guides and print products. Ryan joins the organization with more than 15 years of storytelling experience; she most recently served as the director of communications for the National Association for Environmental Management in Washington, D.C. Ryan holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Medill School at Northwestern University and lives in Baltimore’s Reservoir Hill neighborhood with her husband and two sons. During her free time, Ryan enjoys hiking, house renovations and transforming her yard into a haven for pollinators.
J’aime Drayton has been hired to serve as the organization’s director of government and community affairs as well as the executive director of the Visit Baltimore Education & Training Foundation. Drayton will be responsible for steering Visit Baltimore’s collaboration with local and state legislators as well as community groups. In leading the foundation, Drayton will build momentum for the 501(c)(3) as it aims to increase annual fundraising goals and broaden its strategic objectives. Previously, Drayton served as George Washington University’s operations manager where she managed the business affairs of a million-dollar department. A New York native turned proud Baltimore resident, Drayton earned a bachelor’s degree in American studies from University of Maryland.
