Maryland Basketball Drops To No. 4 In AP Top 25 Rankings

Despite a 2-0 week, the Maryland men's basketball team drops one spot to No. 4 in this week's AP Top 25 rankings, released Dec. 9.

Ohio State (9-0) jumped up three spots to move ahead of the Terps at No. 3, while Louisville (9-0) and Kansas (7-1) hold on to their spots at the top of the poll. The Buckeyes defeated North Carolina, 74-49, and Penn State, 106-74. Three Big Ten teams rank in the top five, with Michigan (8-1) coming in at No. 5.

On the week, the Terps defeated Notre Dame, 72-51, Dec. 4 and edged Illinois, 59-58, Dec. 7.
