Former Ravens WR Torrey Smith 'Comfortable' With Decision To Retire

As a Virginia native and former Maryland Terrapin, Torrey Smith will always hold a special place in the hearts of Ravens fans for being a beloved hometown player.

Smith spent four seasons in Baltimore after being drafted by the Ravens in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He spent the next four years of his career with the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers. He finished his Ravens career ranked second behind tight end Todd Heap in touchdowns with 30 and third in yards with 3,591.

However, after being cut by the Panthers earlier this month, Smith announced in a video on Twitter that he was retiring from the NFL after eight seasons.
