MLB Network Radio host Casey Stern has seen his share of rebuilding projects in the 15 years he has been covering Major League Baseball, but none of them were as what the Baltimore Orioles are doing right now.
He remembers what teams like the Kansas City Royals and the Houston Astros did in recent history by undergoing massive overhauls from the ground up, but neither of them were as big of a teardown as what the Orioles are going through, and he doesn't think it will end any time soon.
"It's going to take a long, long time," Stern said on Glenn Clark Radio July 26. "This is ground floor. You look at this system, and there's no core. There's no core that we're sure is coming."
