Abby Glassberg, NAI KLNB with Franklin Baker, President & CEO of United Way of Central MD

The United Way of Central Maryland recently honored Abby Glassberg of NAI with its Frank Miller “Spirit of Partnership” Award. Established six years ago, the awards are designed to honor organizations and individuals who exemplify the highest ideals of working in partnership with United Way on the community’s behalf.

Glassberg was selected based on her work on the proposed United Way ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) daycare center in Howard County.

"More than one-third of all households in Maryland cannot afford our state's high cost of living and find it difficult to purchase basic necessities for themselves and their families," Glassberg explained. "We interact with people in this situation on a daily basis and, even though many are hard working, they cannot earn enough money to make ends meet. This daycare center is designed to provide critical support for these individuals, and provide some of the resources they need to make their lives a bit easier."
