After giving up the opening goal in the first six minutes of the game, The Mount scored the next five goals to take a commanding lead against the Bulldogs. That kind offensive dominance was typical of Mount St. Mary's this season; the team had eight double-digit wins in 2019 and scored at least 10 goals in 15 games.
Attacker Jordan Butler, one of The Mount's most dominant scorers, was about to extend the lead even further. She delivered a quick strike after taking a pass from her teammate, making the score 6-1 with 19 minutes left in the half.
