Three new members have been elected to the Board of Directors of The Arc Baltimore.
The Directors are: Larry W. Burley, Jr. (Manager, New Business, BGE) who was named to a second term on the Board; Alyssa Navarrete (Staff Attorney, Project HEAL, Kennedy Krieger Institute), who was appointed to the Board following the 2018 Annual Meeting; and Matt Yancisin (Chief Financial Officer, University of Maryland Medical Systems Health Plans), who was newly elected.
“The unique expertise and broad experience each of these individuals brings to our Board, as well as their passion for helping individuals with disabilities, will play a vital role as we tackle the many challenges facing The Arc in the year ahead,” says Kathleen Durkin, Executive Director of The Arc Baltimore.
The three new Directors were named to the Board during The Arc Baltimore’s recent Annual Meeting and Awards Reception. That event also marked the kick-off celebration of the organization’s 70th year.
Dedicated to providing advocacy and high quality, life-changing supports since 1949 in Baltimore City and Baltimore County, The Arc Baltimore currently supports more than 6,000 adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
