At 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, former Baltimore Ravens and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen cuts an imposing frame. Maybe that's why teaming up with Show Your Soft Side, a public service campaign dedicated to showing compassion to animals, makes perfect sense.
The campaign often features professional athletes in its mission to challenge the ideas of "toughness" and "manhood" when it comes to abusive treatment of dogs and cats. Jensen has become a familiar face at one of the campaign's local events: Pawject Runway, an animal fashion show in which adoptable pets from the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) are shown off in hopes of attracting a future owner.
This year's show takes place at Royal Farms Arena April 27.
