Longtime Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones, the face of the franchise during its most recent run of winning, is set to sign a one-year deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to reports.
Dontrelle Willis of MLB Network was first to report Jones was close to a deal with Arizona. The deal is for $3 million guaranteed, per Jeff Passan of ESPN.
Jones, 33, played in Baltimore from 2008-2018 and was a five-time All-Star with the club. The Orioles won more regular-season games (444) than any other American League team from 2012-2016, and Jones played a key part.
