Maybe it's because I live so far from the scene of the grime, the woeful-to-be Baltimore Orioles, I find myself conflicted about the coming baseball season.
I normally look to February as the most wonderful month of the year, and not because I celebrate my birthday. Rather, it marks the start of a new baseball season. Last year is history -- and what an awful history it was. For now, we're no games behind in the standings, our pitchers haven't walked more batters than they've struck out and our batters all have the potential for 60-home run seasons.
