International School of Music Opens New Location In Potomac

2/12/19

The Potomac community welcomes the International School of Music to their neighborhood with open arms! The grand opening of ISM's new Potomac Location at Cabin John Mall was a huge hit and over 300 people attended the event, joining the support of Rockville Chamber of Commerce, and Montgomery County Council Member Andrew M. Friedson, who gave a warm welcome speech.

The Grand Opening Celebration's festivities included activities for the whole family: live music, refreshments, school tours, lesson demos, face-painting, strolling magician and special on-site promotions: one year of music lessons ($2,6000value), digital piano and guitar.

Families also had the opportunity to explore the new custom-designed 5,300 square foot Potomacfacility that houses thirty state-of-the-art soundproofed private music studios, an early childhood music room, a spacious waiting room and plenty of free parking.

ISM's growth reflects the passion of its president, Inja Stanic. "We are thrilled to be opening our new location in Potomac, just as we are about to celebrate ISM's 15 year anniversary," she said. "Our mission is to build a school that responds to the community's needs and to make the world a better place by growing a generation of musically educated, loving, caring individuals, who will pass on their knowledge to future generations," says President Stanic.

The International School of Music, voted best for music instruction by Washington Families, offers one of the finest music programs to the greater DC community. Founded in 2004, ISM's mission is to create extraordinary musical experiences that enrich lives and empower youth to become more confident, creative and empathetic human beings. ISM offers music lessons in all instruments and voice to over 1,500 students of all ages, levels and abilities, in addition to its Early Childhood Music classes, chamber ensembles and Adult music program.

With locations in Bethesda and Potomac, ISM is renowned for its world-class faculty of professional musicians who facilitate a unique combination of high quality music education and performance opportunities that shape and inspire young, well-versed musicians.
