Bethesda Bagels and Flower Child Also Opening in 2019
Federal Realty Investment Trust (NYSE:FRT) announced today that Danish chain JOE & THE JUICEwill open a new juice bar and coffee concept at Bethesda’s Wildwood Shopping Center this summer. The 1,900 square-foot store will be located between Sanctuary Interior Design and Irresistibles. This follows on last week’s announcement that Bethesda Bagels, featuring handmade NY-style bagels, will open this summer. The 1,800 square-foot store will be located near CVS and solidcore and will be open from 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday and from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The addition of JOE & THE JUICE and Bethesda Bagels comes after recent upgrades at Wildwood. The shopping center has expanded by more than 4,000 square feet on the southside near Le Pain Quotidien (LPQ) where Flowerchild will open in early spring 2019. The southside also features a new common outdoor area with lounge chairs and an available 1,300-square-foot storefront. The shopping center offers 42 new parking spaces.
“Wildwood’s dining experience offers an expanded selection of handcrafted, fresh and convenient dining options that are complimentary to the existing celebrated merchants,” said Kari Glinski, Director of Asset Management at Federal Realty. “The combination of new tenants and our recent upgrades further creates a place where our cherished community is encouraged to gather, shop and dine.”
