The Baltimore Ravens promoted Greg Roman to offensive coordinator Jan. 11 after he engineered an overhaul of the offense with Lamar Jackson under center.
Roman was the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills before joining the Ravens' staff in 2017, but his more compelling tenure may have been as the offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers with Colin Kaepernick at quarterback.
The Ravens' offensive surge during the second half of the season featured unique play calling and schemes drawn up by Roman, and NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks drew comparisons to the coordinator's previous work.
