Next Day Animations Earns Great Place to Work Certification

1/8/19

Next Day Animations has been certified as a great workplace by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work®. Next Day Animations, a Baltimore-based animation studio, earned this credential based on extensive ratings provided by its employees in anonymous surveys.

"We've always worked to create a trusting, vibrant work environment," says Jesse Austell, Managing Partner. "We look for innovative ways to make work fun and fulfilling, by offering programs and perks that bring real value to our team. It's an honor to be recognized for the work and intention we put into building a great workplace."

Next Day Animations employees completed anonymous surveys, resulting in a 98% confidence level with a 100% participation rate. Next Day Animations' parent company Simplicity Works and sister company Simplicity Metrics were certified jointly.

In 2018, Next Day Animations hosted two all-team retreats, pioneered biking and public transit incentive programs, expanded PTO to part-time employees, and increased professional development opportunities, among many other initiatives. In addition to perks and benefits, Next Day Animations has several programs aimed at giving back, including all-staff volunteer days, grants for nonprofit organizations, and a scholarship for young women of color.

"This is a wonderful place to work," says Laura Grothaus, Marketing Strategist. "I feel like my ideas are valued, I'm trusted by my team, and my work is meaningful. It's a joy knowing the work I do has an impact."
