Baltimore’s Classic Five To Host Chilly Willy Scramble

1/4/19

Classic Five will host the Chilly Willy Scramble at Pine Ridge Golf Course on January 12

Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation (BMGC), also known as Baltimore’s Classic Five, will host the second in its series of scramble golf outings this winter, the Chilly Willy Scramble on Saturday, January 12 at Pine Ridge Golf Course.

The Chilly Willy Scramble will be an 18-Hole, four-person team scramble event featuring a 9 a.m. shotgun start. In scramble format, all players tee off and then choose to play their next shots from the location of the team’s best shot.

Registration for the Chilly Willy Scramble outing is open and space is limited to the first 30 teams. A $260 per team price includes green fees, carts, breakfast, lunch and prizes. If golfers want to sign up as a single or twosome, please contact the Pine Ridge Pro Shop 410-252-1408. All singles and twosomes will be grouped into foursomes by the Pine Ridge Golf Course staff.

“We are excited to offer a series of fun scramble golf outings for the Baltimore community this winter,” said Jon Ladd, BMGC’s Executive Director. “Our winter events provide golfers an incentive to get out and have fun playing in our outings with a twist during the winter time, as snow is the only weather condition that would cancel the scramble.”

In addition to the Chilly Willy Scramble, two more scramble golf outings are planned this winter at BMGC courses. Remaining 2019 winter outings include:

  • Jack Frost Scramble: Saturday, February 9 at Pine Ridge Golf Course
  • Superintendent’s Revenge Scramble: Saturday, March 2 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course
