MMQB's Albert Breer On John Harbaugh's Future With The Ravens

Though the Baltimore Ravens announced Dec. 21 that the team would bring back head coach John Harbaugh in 2019 and the two sides were working on an extension, that hasn't stopped other teams from wondering about his status, which is still cloudy moving forward, according to Albert Breer of The MMQB.

Harbaugh, whose team clinched the AFC North title with a 26-24 win against the Cleveland Browns Dec. 30, has one year left on his contract. There are eight teams -- the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- currently searching for head coaches.

"It's complicated, I think, on a couple of different levels, and I would tell you that there are teams out there that are just looking at this and saying, 'We're just going to keep an eye on this and see where it goes,'" Breer said on Glenn Clark Radio Dec. 28. "I still think John Harbaugh's going to be [in Baltimore] in 2019. I'm just telling you that there are some teams out there that are looking at this and are saying to themselves, 'We ought to keep an eye on what's going on here.'"
