Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said there was a renewed "energy" this week as the Ravens prepare for what will be, for most players, the first playoff game of their NFL careers.
The Ravens (10-6) will host the Los Angeles Chargers (12-4) Sunday, Jan. 6, at 1:05 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium after capturing the AFC North title with six wins in their past seven games, earning what will be the first postseason experience for 33 players on the current 53-man roster.
The Ravens' last postseason appearance came in 2014, when fifth-year linebacker C.J. Mosley was a rookie. The past two seasons ended with heartbreaking, late-game, late-season collapses that kept the Ravens out of the playoffs, but Mosley helped change that narrative this year with a fourth-down interception that clinched a 26-24 win against the Cleveland Browns in the regular-season finale Dec. 30.
