MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC is pleased to announce the signing of a lease with Felipe’s Mexican Taqueria Restaurant (Felipe’s) at the Shops at Kenilworth located in Towson, Maryland. The 3,500 square foot restaurant will be located in a freestanding building to be constructed on the lower level of the mall. Construction is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2019 with an opening slated for early 2020. This will be the eighth restaurant for Felipe’s and it is being sponsored by a group of local individuals who are excited to bring the concept to the Baltimore area.
Felipe’s is headquartered in New Orleans with additional restaurants in Naples, Fort Myers Beach, and Gainesville, FL, and Boston, MA. Felipe’s is a fast-casual concept that provides a festive atmosphere offering a menu prepared from scratch using fresh, all natural ingredients from authentic Mexican recipes. All restaurants also feature a craft cocktail bar with a special focus on hand-squeezed key-lime margaritas.
Felipe’s was represented in the lease negotiations by MacKenzie’s Senior Vice President/Principal John Harrington, and the landlord, Greenberg Gibbons Commercial, by Mark Gibbons. Harrington was previously involved in the sale of the Shops at Kenilworth to Greenberg Gibbons, the consolidation of Stebbins Anderson to the lower level of the mall, and represented Radcliffe Jewelers in their relocation from Towson Town Center to the upper level of Kenilworth.
