BALTIMORE–The Maryland Business Connection (MBX) will kick off the New Year with food, fun and warmth. Its 2019 Mega Networking Kick-Off Party Chili Showcase & Coat Drive takes place Thursday,Jan. 10, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Michael’s Eighth Avenue (7220 Grayburn Dr., Glen Burnie, Md. 21061).
In addition to “great networking” among approximately 400 business people, the event will feature
- Chili samples from local restaurants and caterers including Michael’s Eighth Avenue, Food by Fire Catering, Brews & Cues on the Blvd. and Dorina’s Kitchen.

- Bruster’s Ice Cream
- Casino Games
- DJ
- Door Prizes
- Interactive Photo Booth
- 50 to 75 local business exhibits
- Free parking
Guests are encouraged to bring new or gently used coats, sweaters, hats, scarves, gloves, etc. for local families being assisted by the Anne Arundel County Food Bank and Resource Center. Last year’s event collected over 350 coats and organizers are looking to surpass that number this year.
