The Ravens have officially passed the torch from Joe Flacco to Lamar Jackson, with head coach John Harbaugh announcing Dec. 12 that the rookie first-round pick will be the starting quarterback instead of the veteran, healthy Flacco when the Ravens face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Dec. 16.
Jackson has led the Ravens to a 3-1 record in Flacco's absence because of a hip injury, with the only loss coming in overtime at Kansas City.
This will mark the first time during Flacco's 11-year career that he will be in uniform as a backup, and Jackson's promotion to starter has led some to essentially write Flacco's Ravens obituary.
