MGM National Harbor Debuts Osteria Costa, a Celebration of Amalfi Coast Cuisine

10/29/18

MGM National Harbor opened the doors this week to the seaside flavors of the Amalfi Coast along the Potomac River shorelines with Osteria Costa, the resort’s new Coastal-Italian restaurant. With the success of the original concept in Las Vegas, the spectacular dinner menu of Osteria Costa celebrates the spirit of Southern Italy’s time-honored craftsmanship, exploring the culinary tradition of the Campania region.

“I’m honored to lead the creation of this casual dining experience at MGM National Harbor’s newest concept,” said Osteria Costa Executive Chef Beau Williams. “The Amalfi Coast is one of my favorite places in the world, and I’m excited to pay tribute to the region at Osteria Costa with dishes handmade from scratch, rooted in historic recipes that utilize the finest ingredients.”

SAVOR
A seaside respite awaits with a diverse selection of antipasti, handcrafted pastas, Neapolitan pizzas, hearty entrees, fresh-grilled seafood and more. Adding to the authentic Italian dining experience, mozzarella and flat breads are created from scratch daily, using accompaniments from the herb garden planted just outside the dining interior.

Expertly prepared in the restaurant’s hearth oven, the Funghi pizza is made with Béchamel sauce, fontina and ricotta cheese, and topped with an assortment of seasonal mushrooms, garlic oil and onion. Chicken Parmigiana is made with free-range organic chicken and topped with pomodoro, mozzarella and basil. The Linguine & Clams, a signature dish at Osteria Costa’s Las Vegas outpost, is made with garlic, chiles and lemon.

A colorful assortment of indulgent endings such as Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake or the Neapolitan Cookie Gelato offer a sweet conclusion to the meal.

SIGHTS

Located just off The Conservatory, this coastal casual dining space features four dining landscapes: garden terrace, center bar, dining room and pizza counter. Guests enter through Osteria Costa’s garden terrace graced with quaint string lighting and newly planted ingredients including basil, thyme, rosemary and mint, many of which are used in the restaurant’s preparations. Once inside, guests pass the center bar to find themselves at the pizza counter surrounded by an array of seaside blues and bright orange highlights. A yellow accent wall featuring beautiful photography of the Amalfi Coast is complemented with lush greenery, dark wood furnishings and white marble tops.
