Ellin & Tucker, the mid-Atlantic’s leading public accounting and business consulting firm, announced today that Chris Rosenthal, Director and leader of Ellin & Tucker’s Disputes, Forensic and Valuation Services practice, has been elected Chair of the Business Valuation Resource Panel with The Appraisal Foundation, the nation’s foremost authority on the valuation profession. In this role, Rosenthal will oversee the strategic direction of the Business Valuation Resource Panel and ensure the Panel meets the mission as set by The Appraisal Foundation.
Rosenthal has been involved with The Appraisal Foundation for more than 15 years and previously served as chair of The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council. He will assume his chairmanship effective January 1, 2019, and will serve a one-year term.

Rosenthal sits on the leadership committee for Ellin & Tucker as Chair of the practice and serves as the city leader for the firm’s Washington D.C. office. He has more than 30 years of dispute, forensic and valuation consulting experience with a focus on providing dispute consulting, forensic accounting and expert witness testimony in a wide variety of complex litigation matters. His clients include law firms, general counsels of corporations, governmental agencies, public and private entities and individuals.
Rosenthal has been qualified and testified in court as an expert witness in over 100 bench and jury trials involving civil fraud, commercial business damages, intellectual property and patent damages, business valuations and bankruptcy matters, as well as a variety of other disputes. He has also given deposition testimony in over 150 cases. In addition, he has served as a court-appointed expert and an arbitrator.
In conjunction with his work with The Appraisal Foundation, Rosenthal has served as past chair of the Forensic and Valuation Services Committee of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, past president of the Association for Corporate Growth, and past president of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.
