Morgan State's football season got off to a rough start with three losses to open the season, but an upset victory at North Carolina A&T Sept. 22 put the Bears in position to improve on last year's one-win season now under interim head coach Ernest T. Jones.
Coming off a three-point loss to Albany University Sept. 15, Jones was able to refocus his team with a mantra he's repeated throughout the season.
"We told them it's a new day," Jones said on Glenn Clark Radio Sept. 26. "We don't think about what happened in the past, what happened in years past, or even a week ago. It's a new day, it's about right here, right now. All we ask this team to do is to get better."
