Harvest Fare Supermarket Celebrates Grand Opening At Northwest Plaza

10/1/18

Klein Enterprises-owned shopping center has 50,000-sq. feet of leasable space remaining

Baltimore-based developer Harvest Fare Supermarket, a locally owned and operated full-service grocery store, at the Northwest Plaza Shopping Center in Baltimore City on October 3. The supermarket chain’s third location at 5708 Wabash Avenue has been open to the public since its soft opening on September 15.

“The overwhelmingly positive response from the community exhibits that Harvest Fare has filled a big void of food and jobs in Northwest Baltimore. I am happy to have a new community partner who values its customers,” said Baltimore City Councilman Isaac “Yitzy” Schleifer.

“I hear from area community members at meetings, and some from outside the area, about how delighted they are to have Harvest Fare open at Northwest Plaza,” said Maxine Webb, 5th district Baltimore City community liaison. “It’s accessible, has affordable prices and quality food, and is located in a one-stop shopping center. That’s what is important to this community, especially the seniors, working families and single parents.”

The Wabash Avenue store joins other Harvest Fare supermarkets in the Hamilton and Fallston neighborhoods in Baltimore City. Each store hosts community events throughout the year and actively supports schools, churches and local farmers and vendors in its community.

“We are thrilled to have Jim and Scott Streett operating their third Harvest Fare location in Northwest Plaza,” said Patricia Palumbo, director of leasing and marketing for Klein Enterprises. “After an extensive evaluation of grocery stores, we are very pleased to have selected a true anchor and the ultimate community partner.”

Harvest Fare occupies 47,525 square feet of Northwest Plaza and has joined Roses Discount Store, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Aaron’s, BB&T Bank and others. With the opening of Harvest Fare, Klein Enterprises has the remaining 50,000 sq. feet available for lease and is in search of an additional anchor tenant to join Rose’s and Harvest Fare.
