Baltimore’s Classic Five To Host 1 Net Best Ball

9/24/18

Classic Five will host the 1 Net Best Ball golf outing on Saturday, September 29

Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation (BMGC), also known as Baltimore’s Classic Five, will host the third in its series of golf outings this fall, the 1 Net Best Ball, on Saturday, September 29 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course.

The 1 Net Best Ball will be a 9-Hole, two-person team event with a 90% USGA Handicap index featuring a 3 p.m. shotgun start. Each golfer will play their own ball on the hole, and strokes will be adjusted based on their USGA handicap. The adjusted strokes will be deducted from the gross score to compute the net score. The best net score on each hole will count as the team's score.

Registration for the 1 Net Best Ball is open and space is limited to the first 26 teams. An $80 per team price includes green fees, carts, dinner, and prizes.

“We are excited to offer more golf outings for the community to enjoy as we near the off-season,” said Jon Ladd, BMGC’s Executive Director. “The Fall Fun Series gives golfers the opportunity to get together with friends and participate in competitive play in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.”

In addition to the 1 Net Best Ball, three more golf outings are planned this fall at BMGC courses. Remaining 2018 fall outings include:

  • Flip-A-Coin: Saturday, October 6 at Pine Ridge Golf Course
  • Scramble With a Twist!: Saturday, October 13 at Pine Ridge Golf Course
  • Chapman: Sunday, October 21 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course
