EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS), parent company of Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), was named "Global Satellite Business of the Year" at Euroconsult's 15th Awards for Excellence in Satellite Communications. Pradman Kaul, president of Hughes, accepted the award during the ceremony held in Paris during this year's World Summit for Satellite Financing.

Euroconsult, the leading global consulting firm specializing in space markets, hosts the World Satellite Business Week summit in Paris annually, bringing together executives from across the sector. The Awards for Excellence in Satellite Communications are based on a performance analysis of market players and assessed by senior experts from the Euroconsult team. The "Global Satellite Business of the Year" award recognizes the operator that achieved the best performance in terms of strategic initiatives as well as revenue growth, margins and commercial development during the past year.
