Champion Realty Named A “Best Workplace” Fourth Year In A Row By The Washington Post

9/24/18

Champion Realty has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2018 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area. Selection is based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement.

This marks the fourth year in a row that Champion made the “Top Workplace” list. The 150 honorees in 2018 include government contractors, law firms, nonprofits, schools and businesses.

Champion Realty placed 20th on a list of mid-sized companies and was the only real-estate brokerage cited among companies of similar size. According to the newspaper’s report, managers at Champion “look to create a family atmosphere at each Champion office, eschewing the hyper-competitiveness that tends to define the real estate industry.”

“Overwhelmingly, employees of the companies honored on The Post’s Top Workplaces list not only value their workplace’s culture, but they also feel confident in the direction that their companies are going,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes. “The standouts on this list excel because they focus on engaging their greatest asset: their people.”

“Of the many accolades Champion Realty receives every year, The Washington Post’s Top Workplaces award means the most to me,” said Jon Coile, CEO and president of Champion Realty. “It’s great to get awards from outside organizations that recognize our sales success and innovations, but this honor is bestowed by our own workforce. In today’s short-supply labor market, these people could work anywhere—and it says a lot that they chose Champion. They helped create a culture and direction for our company that they’re truly proud of, which comes across loud and clear in the surveys for this award. We have a great company and are humbled to receive this recognition from The Washington Post.”

Nearly 350 companies with at least 50 employees in the Washington area were surveyed. In all, 57,184 employees responded to questions abouttheir jobs, thecompanyleadership and the health of their organization.
