9/11/18

Gary Hibbs, Executive Director, Riderwood, thanks everyone for coming to the Grand Opening of Town Center at Riderwood.

The wait is over! After months of renovations, residents and staff celebrated the Grand Opening of Town Center at Riderwood, an Erickson Living retirement community in Silver Spring, MD.

The new Town Center features a clean, modern design including a new lobby area, new office spaces for the Sales team, The Bistro and the renovated Seasons restaurant, which offers a brand-new dining experience.

“Everyone here at Riderwood has been anxiously awaiting this day,” said Gary Hibbs, Executive Director, Riderwood. “Riderwood is celebrating over 18 years of experience and excellence in serving the senior living industry in the Baltimore / Washington metro area of Maryland. The modernization is designed to meet the needs of current and future residents, as the demand for our product offering continues to increase – we have a 96% occupancy level. We are in business to serve our over 2500 residents and this is a very exciting day for all of us.”

Residents and staff toured the new Town Center lobby, the new Sales offices and sampled fabulous cuisine from the new Seasons menu. The event also featured comments from Executive Director Gary Hibbs and Director of Dining Services Jeff Kimbell.

“It was a wonderful day celebrating this milestone with the Riderwood community,” said Hibbs.

The new Bistro, which opened a few months ago, features a display kitchen concept that provides residents and guests the opportunity to engage with the culinary team preparing their lunch or dinner. The restaurant features freshly prepared Bistro style favorites, including burgers, salads, sandwiches and flatbreads.
