Company Earns Sixth SOC1-SSAE 18 Certification and Completes First Ever SOC2-SSAE18 Examination

The SOC1 audit solidifies designDATA’s achievement of the service commitments and system requirements relevant to its data center, operations, SysAdmin tool, monitoring and expert IT service teams. The SOC 2 audit examines the controls and processes involved in storing, handling and transmitting data securely, providing independent assurance that designDATA’s cloud solutions are safe and secure. Both audits cover a one-year period ending May 31, 2018.

The SOC 1 report focuses on a service organization’s controls that are likely to be relevant to an audit of a user entity’s (customer’s) financial statements with control objectives related to both business process and information technology. The SOC 2 report addresses a service organization’s controls related to operations and compliance, in relation to availability, security, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy, as outlined by the AICPA’s Trust Services criteria.
