Olszewski continues to build a diverse coalition in race for Baltimore County Executive

Continuing to build momentum since winning a historic primary victory, Democratic nominee for Baltimore County Executive John “Johnny O” Olszewski, Jr. today announced that his campaign will report more than a half-million dollars raised since the last reporting period.

In his campaign’s latest report, Olszewski will end the reporting period having raised $563,179 with $421,210 in cash-on-hand. More than 94 percent of contributions were from the state of Maryland.

“I am humbled and thankful for the groundswell of support behind our campaign to build a better Baltimore County,” Olszewski said. “We have an incredible opportunity to help create a new chapter for our county: one where our public schools flourish, our economy is boosted, and our government is open and accessible.”

Olszewski has now amassed more than $1.4 million dollars in support of his campaign for Baltimore County Executive, largely from grassroots support.

Following today’s report, Olszewski reiterated his commitment to building a strong countywide campaign.

“I am so proud of the diverse coalition we’re building — with supporters from every corner of our county from Rocky Point to Randallstown — and everywhere in between. Together, we will build a better Baltimore County for everyone,” Olszewski added.

Olszewski, who served nine years in the Maryland General Assembly representing his hometown in District 6, resides in Dundalk with his wife Marisa and 2-year old daughter Daria. He began his professional career teaching at Patapsco High School.
