Eric Church, President/CEO of First Financial FCU pointed out, “This is a favorite time of year for First Financial. We are busy welcoming new members and assisting teachers and students as they prepare for the new school year. These community partnerships are what we’re all about, and we hope our contributions can help to make this school year great! We encourage everyone to come out and join us.”

First Financial works every year to assist BCPS’ Tools for Schools- School Supply Drive and also initiates a school supply drive for CCPS. School supply collection boxes are currently located in all branches. To motivate employee involvement, First Financial has instituted “Pay It Forward on Pay Day.” Every pay day during the summer, employees are asked to donate inexpensive school supplies such as pens, pencils, crayons, paper, folders, and notebooks to assist in the collection efforts.

As an institution that promotes education and financial literacy, First Financial FCU not only helps to deliver much needed school supplies, it also rallies the community to get behind the hard working teachers of BCPS and CCPS.
