Head Out To The County For Restaurant Week Deals

We write about restaurants in the city a lot because we think they’re great and there’s so, so much out there to savor. Even with all the existentialist drama surrounding the Baltimore dining scene earlier this year, there’s still plenty of new projects and events worth exploring. In that same spirit of discovery, we are suggesting a trip out to Baltimore County for its Restaurant Week. Yes, really.

It’s easy to paint the county as a wasteland of chains, and sure, they are plentiful. But there’s also sophisticated fare–such as Cunningham’s, Liberatore’s and The Milton Inn–as well as local down-home spots–we’re thinking Squire’s, Pappas and Dock of the Bay–worth seeking out. Starting today and running until Aug. 18, all of those eateries and many others will be offering prix fixe menus, ranging from $15 to $35. It will be worth the trip.
