Former Orioles left-handed pitcher Ross Grimsley is a fan of the Orioles' decision to bring in Hall of Fame third baseman Brooks Robinson as a special adviser to the club.
"Who else better to do that?" Grimsley said on Glenn Clark Radio July 16. "You think of Baltimore and the two sports figures that stand out here, it's him and Johnny Unitas."
Grimsley and Robinson were teammates from 1974-1977. During that time, the Orioles never finished below second in the American League East and managed to make it to the American League Championship Series in 1974, but ultimately lost the series, 3-1, to the Oakland Athletics.
