Former Orioles slugger Nelson Cruz -- who is in Baltimore this week as the O's take on the Seattle Mariners -- said he would welcome the chance to play with Orioles center fielder Adam Jones again.
"I know how hard [Jones] plays, how much he loves the game," Cruz said on Glenn Clark Radio June 26. "It would be awesome to have him in the lineup [with] what he can do defensively, what he can do with his bat, his personality. … It would be a great trade, and we would be happy to have him."
The Mariners drafted Jones in the first round of the 2003 MLB draft, and he played two seasons in Seattle before being traded to the Orioles. Jones will be a free agent after the 2018 season and has been mentioned in various trade rumors, as the Orioles sit at the bottom of the American League East.
