Creig Northrop, president and CEO of Northrop Realty, A Long & Foster Company, was named a 2018 Inman Innovator Award finalist by real estate news provider Inman. Northrop will speak on the panel “Going From Agent To Team—Common Mistakes You Can Avoid” at Inman Connect, a national real estate conference to be held in San Francisco this summer.

Northrop’s award follows his effort leading the Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate into becoming Northrop Realty, a full-service brokerage in the Long & Foster Real Estate family of companies, earlier this year. The transition from real estate team to brokerage positions Northrop Realty, which has five offices in Maryland, to open additional offices and expand to surrounding states.

Under Northrop’s leadership, Northrop Realty recently launched NorthropU, an internal sales training program providing a variety of classes exclusively for Northrop Realty agents. NorthropU is part of a host of tools, such as 3D interactive virtual home tours, high definition, fusion photography, social media support and home staging that Northrop Realty agents receive to better serve their clients.

Innovator Award winners will be revealed at Inman Connect in San Francisco this July. The weeklong conference brings together more than 4,000 real estate agents and brokers, CEOs of real estate companies, association leaders, tech entrepreneurs and marketing executives.
