“Earth Treks has served Baltimore-area climbers since 1990 and we are thrilled to open our first bouldering gym in the city,” said Robert Cohen, Earth Treks | Planet Granite CEO. “We’re honored to be part of its vibrant community and offer something unique to the area. From novice to expert and everything in between, there’s a spot for everyone at Earth Treks.”

Boulderingis a form of rock climbing done without the use of weight-bearing equipment on large boulders instead of cliff faces. The climbs (called “problems”) require skill and technique to maneuver up and across them. Bouldering is for everyone, young and old, male and female, and can include those of all physical and mental abilities.

For the Hampden location launch, Earth Treks will extend a discount of 50 percent-off first-time climbs – plus a 20-minute guided introduction to bouldering. Guests can register online once the facility is open at www.EarthTreksClimbing.com/Hampden using promo code: Climb50. In addition, Earth Treks will waive the membership start-up fee for anyone signing up before June 30, 2018.
