Do The Orioles Need A Left-Handed Hitting Outfielder?

When the Chicago White Sox start right-hander James Shields against the Orioles May 22, manager Buck Showalter could use four left-handed hitters: designated Hitter Pedro Alvarez, first baseman Chris Davis, third baseman Jace Peterson and catcher Chance Sisco.

He'd probably like to start a left-handed hitter in the outfield, but the Orioles currently don't have one.

Baltimore has faced four left-handed starters -- three against Boston and one with Chicago -- during its past five games. A right-handed heavy lineup was easy for Showalter, who has nine right-handed hitters and just those four left-handers on his roster.
