Maryland Advances To NCAA Semifinals; Loyola, Hopkins Fall Short

The Maryland men's lacrosse team advanced to the NCAA Semifinals for the fifth consecutive season, while both Johns Hopkins and Loyola could not overcome higher seeds.

Here is a wrap-up for the quarterfinals:

Maryland

The top-seeded Terrapins (14-3) beat Cornell, 13-8, at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Maryland went on a six-goal run during the second half to pull away. The Terps are in the Final Four for seventh time in the last eight years under head coach John Tillman.
