Baltimore Magazine’s Midsummer Night’s Dream-Themed Best Of Baltimore Party To Be Held August 9 At New Venue

5/21/18

30th annual event presented by Horseshoe Casino will benefit The Family Tree

Baltimore magazine announced today that the 30th annual Best of Baltimore Party, celebrating the “Best of Baltimore” August issue, will be held on August 9th from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at a new venue, The Assembly Room (316 Guilford Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21202).

This year’s event, which is themed “Midsummer Night’s Dream,” will be presented by Horseshoe Casino and will benefit The Family Tree. Guests are invited to “take a stroll through Baltimore magazine’s enchanting forest and enjoy special delights from the area’s most noteworthy restaurants, taste magical spirits and celebrate all that Charm City has to offer on the jovial dance floor set underneath a Midsummer full moon.”

“In celebration of 30 years supporting and sharing the Best of Baltimore, we decided to make some significant and exciting changes to this year’s party in order to give attendees the very best experience,” said Amanda Brown, director of marketing and audience development at Baltimore magazine. “We’re looking forward to a truly fantastic evening celebrating this year’s winners.”

The annual Best of Baltimore Party will feature delicious tastings from more than 20 of the area’s best restaurants featured in the August “Best of Baltimore” and March “Best Restaurants” issues; handcrafted specialty cocktails, beers and fine wines; live music from the Ron Holloway Band and dance party beats from DJ Kopec. Fitting this year’s theme, guests will also be able to enjoy a dusting of pixie sweetness at a magic cotton candy station and can channel their inner fairy by crafting their own fanciful flower crown.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit The Family Tree, Maryland’s leading non-profit organization, whose mission is to improve the community by providing families with proven solutions to prevent child abuse and neglect. The Family Tree offers volunteer-supported programs and services that aide and educate individuals, families and communities.

This year marks the 15th year that Baltimore magazine has supported The Family Tree. Since the beginning, Baltimoremagazine has donated more than $750k to support the organization.

Tickets for this year’s event are $125 per person. There is a $25 discount on tickets purchased now through July 4. All guests must be 21 years and older to attend. To purchase tickets, visit: bmag.co/BOB18
