Orioles' Season Of Futility Continues With 13 Hits And No Runs

In this strange and forgettable season for the Orioles, they suffered yet another indignity May 20. They managed to get 13 hits, 12 of them singles, and not score.

No major league team had done that since the Los Angeles Dodgers had 13 hits against the Philadelphia Phillies Aug. 25, 2008.

The Orioles' 5-0 loss to the Boston Red Sox featured a season-high 14 runners left on base.

After a successful homestand during which they won five of eight games, the Orioles began an 11-game road trip with three losses in four games. The May 18 win broke Baltimore's 13-game road losing streak, equaling the longest in club history.
