Preakness-goers Will Find A New WiFi Network At Pimlico This Year

At Preakness, WiFi is the first topic listed among Frequently Asked Questions about the Triple Crown race at Pimlico Race Course (Answer: Yes).

This year, race officials said the system is upgraded.

Ahead of the weekend’s series of racing events in Northwest Baltimore, Pimlico owners The Stronach Group and race organizers the Maryland Jockey Club implemented a new WiFi system at the track.

The work involved deploying a gigabit network from HPE subsidiary Arubaaround the grounds. It will cover the infield and grandstand, as well as internet for employees, media, ticketing, parking, betting and concession Point of Sale, according to the Maryland Jockey Club.
