Atapco Properties Announces Starbucks Multi-Tenant Building Opens At Atapco’s Steeplechase

5/14/18

Atapco Properties, Inc. is excited to announce the newest addition to Steeplechase 95, located in Capitol Heights, Maryland. The new addition is the completion of the Starbucks’ anchored Multi-Tenant building containing 8,941 square feet of retail space. Starbucks was the first tenant to officially open for business on February 22nd and celebrated with a Grand Opening event held on March 15th.

Some of the guests in attendance included Prince George’s County Council member Derrick Davis, members of the local community association, and members of the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation. County Council member Derrick Davis is passionate about the improvements we have made to Prince George’s County and has been an asset throughout his involvement with Steeplechase 95. Starbucks is currently in the process of having their interior build-out LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified for Commercial Interiors.

Jersey Mike’s was the second tenant to open for business on March 28th and is leasing the space directly next to Starbucks. Sprint will be the third tenant to open in late April 2018.

Steeplechase 95 International Business Park is a multi-phased, 110-acre mixed-use business park developed by Atapco Properties. The park is strategically located off Exit 13 of the Capital Beltway. It is conveniently located with close proximity to Washington, D.C. and B.W.I. Airport. The park’s excellent access, outstanding visibility, well designed layout, and unmatched amenities have been key components to attract national tenants such as HD Supply, Restaurant Depot, Johnson Control, Pepsi and Rexel USA

In total, the business park can accommodate approximately 1.2 million square feet of office and warehouse space and the adjacent retail consists of ten prime pad sites and a 42,000 square feet of multitenant retail buildings, either completed or under development.

Atapco Properties is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Trading and Production Corporation, which was originally formed in 1931 to consolidate, expand and diversify the business activities of the Blaustein family, the founders of the American Oil Company (AMOCO). Atapco Properties is active in Maryland, Indiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, developing state-of-the-art industrial, retail, residential and mixed-use projects with an emphasis on sustainability and green building standards.
